Hi there,

I've an iPhone 5s, up to date (9.3.1). Firefox working nicely for me on OS X and iPad but cannot work out why iOS fails to connect to any website at all when not on wi-fi. The last page loaded (from last wi-fi session) will appear on launching the app but whenever any new search term or website is entered the wee orange progress bars shoots along but then the spinning wheel of infinite non-connection appears at top, even with full signal strength. I've tried a range of popular websites and search engines but still no connection to them or anything. This occurs both in private and normal browsing as well as with my VPN service on and off.

I was under the impression you can't disable iOS Safari as such so, obviously, have not.

What am I missing?

Cheers

Graeme

First thing I suggest is ensure you are able to browse with a WiFi connection when using Safari. This will indicate whether the issue is a network issue or a browser issue. Let us know the outcome by posting a reply here.

Thanks for getting in touch. Safari OK on and off wifi. Firefox OK on wifi but the minute I step outside it hangs. I'm with Giffgaff which uses the O2 network... Argh! There's a 'mobile data' switch for Firefox. Apologies. That's what I was missing!

Best
