I am running Win 10, had Firefox running but was having problems with it, so tried a refresh to see if that would fix the problem, but it just hung on that refresh all night, so I uninstalled Firefox from Control Panel uninstall, then went to reinstall Firefox, used Edge to get to Mozilla, downloaded Firefox but it won't open saying that my "profile is missing" and so Firefox is "inaccessible". Have tried downloading it several times, doing an uninstall sometimes, and others with it saying it was upgrading, got the download from Mozilla directly, and then tried CNET also. What is wrong?

right now all I want to do is remove all vestiges Of Mozilla, and Firefox off my computer, if uninstall can't do that then I have to move on to another browser. I am not a computer expert, I tried to find my profile thru win+r -P and it couldn't find it, and still won't let me install firefox properly.

Let’s do a full clean re-install; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Do Not remove the profiles folder.

Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox program folders by adding .old to them. Do not rename the Mozilla Thunderbird folder.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.
