I'm trying to get a better picture of what you're seeing.

One possibility is that the page is laid out normally, but some images are missing. In that case, are they replaced by rectangles, or strange characters, or just empty in that area?

Another possibility is that the page lacks styling altogether, it's just a list of content down the left margin of the page. This can occur with secure sites (HTTPS addresses) when Firefox doesn't trust all of the sources of content used in the page.

Do either of those seem to match the problem you're seeing?

The thing you did before, was it clearing Firefox's cache? The steps for that can be found in the following article:

See: How to clear the Firefox cache

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Ctrl+r to check progress.
