I think the end might be different each time, not sure, as cannot print it out, had to hand type this.

This error msg appears on some random tab as I load Firefox. Just started happening a week or so ago.

Other threads blame it on Skype but I do NOT have Skype on my computer! Had it on another computer long ago, deleted it because it was a resource hog even when I wasn't using it.

There must be something ELSE that is causing this error.

This is now the second week of spending MOST of my time on computer problems, namely FIREFOX! I'm really getting tired of it. Will NOT go through that process of safe mode and testing all the extensions. There must be SOME PRIOR KNOWLEDGE out there already. Why reinvent the wheel when it's already tested???

And no, will NOT "upgrade" to a later version of FF. UP/Downgrading to THIS one started all the problems! Seems every change makes it worse and I have a living to make and cannot spend all my time FIXING FF.

Laptop has Win 7 and that is ANOTHER whole mess! HATE Win 7. Have NO efficiency on it. Extensions keep getting deleted, then reinstalled, restart, that doesn't work, restart, that doesn't work, ........ and so on. Between the two computers, that is ALL I've been doing for DAYS!

Somehow, someone has had this same script error message and has found a way to fix it, and not involving Skype.

Extensions keep getting deleted, then reinstalled

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all extensions*.* files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.

See "Corrupt extension files":

You will have to approve the updating one last time.

With what version did this problem start? Does the problem show up on one website, several, many?

What are your start and home pages?

Taking a Screen shot; Windows > Start > search box > Snip. Select Snipping Tool. Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot. Save the picture(s) to your desktop. Now look at the Reply box below. Press the button under it that says Browse. Now select the screen-shot(s) from the desktop and load them one at a time.

What extensions do you have installed that might be named along the lines of something-pass-dot-com? That's a clue to what is causing your problem.

As far as being so upset with Firefox - what's this about? User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:40.0) Gecko/20100101 IceDragon/40.1.1.18 Firefox/40.0.2 3rd party version built with Firefox code. Not something that this forum has any obligation to "support".

As far as being above doing some simple, basic troubleshooting like trying the Firefox SafeMode - - just fricking arrogant! And considering that you never resolved your other thread from back in June, I think that you are acting more that a bit rough on the volunteers who render support in this forum.
