So I've sort of messed around with browser features, particularly "switch to new tab immediately" feature, with both Firefox Options & Tab Mix Plus. While the browser can switch to new tabs immediately after clicking on links, bookmarks or history, it can't seemed to switch to new blank tab immediately when I either Ctrl+T or click on "new tab" button.
