Firefox Sync Isn't Working
Hi - I am having trouble syncing Firefox between my desktop and my tablet. I've tried several times to disconnect and reconnect the tablet and computer but it still isn't working. My tabs from the desktop are synced to the tablet but that is all. Bookmarks don't sync from my computer to my tablet nor do they sync from my tablet to my computer. I have all items checked (as far as what I want to sync) on both the computer and the tablet. I know that there is a way that I can look at the error logs from sync but don't remember how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can check on the about:sync-log page if there is a Sync error log available. You might have to turn on logs in order to capture any errors there. How to turn on sync logs : Type in the address bar about:config (Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked) and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and : services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks and set both values to true Then Restart Firefox and look at : about:sync-log
Logs and error messages will be located there.
Note that you should reset services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess to false after you are done testing. otherwise you will get a lot of logs getting saved because normally only when an error occurs a log is created.
Hi - Thank you for your reply. I did get a recent error log and I noticed that it said: "bookmarks was interrupted by shutdown; no other engines will sync ....Aborting sync for failure in bookmarks....Skipping validation: validation or telemetry reporting is disabled...." The thing is I didn't shut down anything. I don't know what I should do. Here is the whole sync log: Thanks.
