The History sidebar, I used ones, does not turn off after I restart Ffx (Firefox) or open a new window, open in new window, new in private window. i "x" it (top right corner. I also/or uncheck the check mark on history menu too/or). after i restart Ffx the history sidebar displays up on the left site of the window. Q. how do i control this function so in case i want to hide it in next open Ffx window, it will not appear?

Try to rename/remove the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
