I have windows 7. I am English living in France. My homepage is and has always been set to www.google.co.uk. Now every time Firefox is loaded I get www.google.fr! My homepage setting has not changed it is still for google UK. I am not sure, but I think this happened on the last Firefox update? How do I get the homepage to load to google UK, as per my settings please? Thank you.

That is set by google cookies No idea how to change other than possibly stay logged in which means being tracked all the time.

Can remove all cookies from them then set page then block further cookies but will break the page I am sure.

There are proxy extensions.

There maybe help within Google on that subject or a help page if log in.

Sorry. Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi  !

You can find Google search engines, including a 'No Country Redirect' version, on the Mycroft Project website :

Many thanks for your reply. As silver surfer, I avoid delving too deeply into my computer. I have found a sort of solution, when I load Firefox my homepage still comes up in Google.fr but it does give an option to change to English, which I click on and I get google.co.uk. Still do not understand how my homepage is set to google UK but now automatically starts in French. But that is computers for you.
