I recently updated to the latest Firefox, but I had to go back to earlier version, because the new one didn't work with the important add-ons, which I had earlier (and that of course sucks!). But now while using the earlier version, I get many times in a day the pop-on notification on up-right, asking me to update to the latest version. How I can switch that off?

Hello, you have to disable update version checking. Type about:preferences#advanced in your url bar and check your updates settings. You can: - check and install updates automatically - check updates and let you install manually - disable updates checking (not recommended)

In your case, choose the third solution. Logically, you will not have popup, tell us if it helps.
