I refreshed my tumblr page and got a 400 Bad Request message. I checked to see if I could log in on Microsoft Edge and I was able to but Edge does not have either the tumblr savior or xkit plugins that let me blacklist things I don't want to see on my dashboard available so I don't like using it. I already tried clearing the cache and cookies and all that accomplished was deleting all of the things I had blacklisted.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

  • check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab in "Tools -> Page Info -> Permissions"

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Its because firefox now will only allow so many cookies from one website. firefox determined that it uses too many cookies, and didn't connect. There is no current way to fix this. I will keep you updated until this problem can be fixed. Hope this helps! -Zombieslayer57
