In Mac OS, when Firefox is in full-screen mode and I open a new window or new private window, it opens on top of my full-screen window.

As you can see in the screenshot attached, the second window opens on top of my full-screen Firefox window instead of opening in another space, like a window in my desktop or like another full-screen window aside.

Wondering if this is a general bug or is just me?

So have the option to set to remain as active screen even if you open other screen. So you need to look at your settings to see which is set to Remain Active. And uncheck that option to prevent it from being set as active screen.
