My places.sqlite file has places.sqlite.corrupt just under it in my second profile's folder. I tried renaming the corrupt file as just places.sqlite (calling the first places.sqlite something else) and restarting as suggested but the history still won't show up, and when I check the folder, places.sqlite is once again places.sqlite.corrupt (with a places.sqlite file just above it.)

Is there a way to somehow get Quantum to read my old history?

Corrupted history can't be recovered AFAIK and if it wasn't backup like bookmark somewhere else any corrupted files can't be recovered.
