I have come back to Thunderbird after not using for a while. In that time I have created and deleted sub folders under local folders. How do I get the sub folders to sync and update with what I have online. My profile on pc is couple of years old. Im guessing this is what I need to update?

Local Folders exist only on the computer on which they are created, and are not synced with any folders you may have in an IMAP account. You could copy messages from Local Folders to an IMAP account, but it's recommended to do this in limited batches, to avoid bandwidth and performance limitations that large uploads might encounter.
