A friend used my computer & Firefox to log into his Gmail account yesterday. Now when i try to go into my Gmail account, I automatically go into his account. I can't seem to stop Firefox from doing this. I installed a clear cache button extension but nothing changes when I use it. What's worse, he apparently uses a different version of Gmail than I do and I have spent hours trying to find a way of logging out of his email account; I see no way of doing that. I can't use Firefox to access my email accounts anymore, I have to use Google Chrome.

Thank you. It worked. It didn't work exactly as you indicated I should do it but close enough that I figured out how to do it. I'm out of that email account now and when I go to the Gmail bookmark I have the choice of logging in to my two email accounts or, theoretically, my friends email account.

Can you log out of this account?
Log out of the account as JerareYoshisays. Then log back in using your own username/password.
I can't find any link to click on to log out, so I can't log out as anyone.
Click on your friend's picture or letter at top right of page, then click Sign Out.
I've tried clicking on his picture, his name, every link I've found on the page. No sign out statement or link or drop down menu with such.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?
While you are in safe mode;
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
