I've recently noticed that, when using Firefox, it gets ridiculous memory usage, slowing my computer down massively. Even after reset, just a few tabs takes over 1GB. This is absolutely ridiculous, I have no idea why this is happening.

So how was your FF updated?

Just through apt-get. I should have specified that I was using Xubuntu, my mistake.

You could try this please : Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Note : Acceleration is for your Video Card, monitor and turn on if needed.
