Firefox stopped working today, so I uninstalled and installed the latest version. Now links will not work in Outlook. I've set Firefox as my default browser and rebooted.

Do you mean Outlook as part of the desktop Office suite? Unfortunately, this happens if you uninstall Firefox from its normal 32-bit program folder location and reinstall in the newer 64-bit program location. Office applications stubbornly keep looking in the old location.

You could try the registry fix in this article: https://www.slipstick.com/problems/this-operation-has-been-cancelled-due-to-restrictions/
