After updating to the very latest version of Thunderbird (60.4.0) trying to scroll through my address book is painfully slow. I am running on MAC OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite).

Does same thing happen in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

No, bringing up Thunderbird in Safe Mode make the scrolling easier. Same problem seen.

The only thing that seems to help is to reduce the size of the screen segment that displays address entries. The more I shrink the screen for this, the more workable and faster the scroll bar is.

I have 1300 or so entries in my Address Book. I can delete some entries which may also help but it seems that the Address Book browse now does not scale well. I did not have this problem before. In contrast I have 24,000 emails in my Inbox (any lesser numbers in several other folders) and I do not have a problem scrolling around in the Inbox or other folders. Kind of strange. Something to do with more indexing and keys needed for the Address book?
