When I copy from Word to Thunderbird, I get extra spaces between paragraphs. I know I can change every paragraph symbol (^p) to a line break (^l), but this is cumbersome and requires substantial reformatting in a large document.

The weird thing is, the response from Thunderbird is inconsistent. I have several saved emails where the material pasted in without a problem, but recently the problem has become constant.

Can you fix this somehow?

Thank you.

It's generally recommended to not paste directly from word processors, for exactly the reason you see. Instead, use Paste Without Formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V).
