Hi Verigo60, are you having this problem in Firefox on your iOS device or on a desktop OS such as Windows, Mac, or Linux?

Windows, Mac, Linux

By default, if a site wants to send desktop notifications, Firefox will drop down a permission panel. You can set Firefox to block those requests automatically and not even ask. There's a checkbox on the Options/Preferences page:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the search box at the top of the page, type notif and Firefox should filter to the "Permissions" section.

Click the Settings button to the right of Notifications:

In the dialog that comes up, check the box for "Block new requests asking to allow notifications" and then click the Save Changes button.

Note: If you can't see the Save Changes button, try expanding the dialog downwards using the "grippy" in the lower right corner.

Success?
