Firefox keeps losing homepage. I set it and it is good for a day or two and then resets to default setting. All other settings seem to be OK. WIN10 64 Bit

Hello 741opamp,

Your system details show that you are participating in
Firefox Shield Studies, and show this extension :

"ETP Search Volume Study 1.2 (etp-search-volume-study@shield.mozilla.org) "

This could be causing the problem .....

Would you please type in the address bar :

about:studies and press Enter

Look for that extension and disable or remove it.

Then close and restart Firefox.

Any difference  ?

So I removed the ETP study.on 6/29. This morning 7/6 it again lost the home page. I now unchecked Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla. I will see if this works. If you have any other suggestion let me know

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Would you (for now) disable McAfee® WebAdvisor and see if that will make a difference ?
