I can't access my downloaded files in firefox after updating Windows 10.
When I try to access downloaded files in Firefox after my latest windows update (Installed today), I cannot do so. Instead it either opens infinite tabs of the blank file, or it attempts to open the file name in four different tabs (such as putting the word spring in the search bar of the third tab opened if it was the third word in the file name). I need Firefox to function for school, please advise.

FYI - Today's update 72.0.2 has a fix for opening files with spaces in their path.

This probably won't help but I always kill Windows automatic updates and just keep Avast up to date to ensure security. Windows updates seem to induce problems on a disproportionate basis. Have you tried to rollback the updates and test accessing downloads ?
This will happen if there are <spaces> in the file name. You may have to edit those <spaces> by replacing them with <underlines>. Also, contact the source of the files and let them know about the resulting issue.

I don't doubt that -- I don't have Win 10 but I never allow file names to have spaces.
