Links or bookmarks for Ancestry.com now go to Ancestry home page no matter where the link points. This just started happening in the last few weeks.

Started recently about the time of lastest Firefox update. I receive Links to comments made about family tree. When I click on the link it takes me to Ancestry home page. It did not behave this way until just recently. Also bookmarks for page that I saved for a spot on Ancestry only go to the home page instead of the page I bookmarked.

Is it possible that the page was moved?

There are some cases where a website will move files around and the page moves to a different URL. Then, when you visit the old invalid one, you get redirected to the homepage, since the page you are trying to navigate to essentially doesn't exist.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

I tried clearing the cache first thing. I made sure the tracking was on standard and I enabled exception for ancestry.com. I can get regular bookmarks to load but not email link. No difference in safe mode will try disable hardware.

The email link goes to click.email.ancestry.com It works in chrome not Firefox.
