Spell Check options to not check email headers etc.
Hi there, I switched from Outlook to Thunderbird, which I definitely prefer, and yet there is this pesky spell check thing that makes me add things to my dictionary that I think it 'should' ignore. In Outlook I can tell the spell check to ignore words in UPPERCASE, words that contain numbers, internet addresses (see uploaded image). If these options exist in Thunderbird please tell me how to find them. I use a lot of all three types of words in my emails and I type horribly so I need a spell checker but would it to be just a little bit 'smarter'.
thanks

I think you are asking about this ancient enhancement request. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=391672
Note: the spell checking is provided by the underlying Mozilla platform. It is not actually a function that the Thunderbird team are responsible for and if controls by the Firefox developers.

Thanks Matt, I guess that is why I didn't see anything since it is ancient! I will see what I can find elsewhere. Mark
