When I press shift key and another one in password fields, the field clears any typed characters in the field. Shift work as "select all" in password text field. It is happens when input email address also. Theme is default. The same behavior in safe mode.

Maybe this is a feature that Ubuntu adds to its own Firefox version as this doesn't sound like standard behavior.

Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution.
