Entering cc or bcc adddresses in Thunderbird 78
Good morning, All,
The best way I can find to enter an address cc or bcc in the updated Thunderbird is to enter the address in the to field, then click on it right-mouse-button, then select cc or bcc from the drop-down menu, and then a cc or bcc field is created.
There has to be a better way to do this. Apart from being just tedious and silly (enter the address as to and then change it to bcc) there is the risk of inadvertently leaving an address that you want as bcc in the to field, and compromising privacy.
To date I have found Thunderbird great. This can't be right, surely?

A more streamlined method might be to select contacts from the Contacts sidebar (F9 in Write), while holding Ctrl, then Add to To, Cc or Bcc at the bottom of the sidebar.

Thanks, sfhowes, that does work nicely.
However, I just stumbled across what I think is the official answer at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/addressing-email#w_address-fields-to-cc-bcc
The answer was there all the time, just hiding at the top of the screen.
