Hello everyone

This issue started today 10/March/2021 and only on Firefox. I have tested this into 4 different computers and it only occours on Firefox, other browsers are fine.

As I try to perform any search on Youtube searchbar, spacebar wont work. It acts like it is pausing/unpausing a video, and does not "space" the words. In fact, all Youtube shortcuts seems to be "live" even when a video is not playing

Any other site its working fine.

Anyone got any ideia on how to solve this issue?

Thank you

Yes, Reddit also is flooded with posts on this problem. (for example) Probably Google changed something and it's better to wait for a fix than to try to hack around it.

They probably did some sort of update that broke the Youtube UI. I've uploaded 2 short videos as hard evidence, hopefully it gets resolved soon. Having to ctrl+c and ctrl+v is tedious.

Same problem here - even worse - you cannot type comments too, because Firefox sees every letter as a Youtube shortcut, and instead of typing text it just invokes those shortcuts. I hope they will fix this soon. Will have to use Chrome for the moment.
