The Edit controls are no longer found in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list, but are only available as toolbar buttons. You can drag the edit controls from the Customize palette to the Navigation Toolbar or to the overflow area under the chevron (>>).

Alt+E: opens Edit Menu.
Ctrl+X: cut. Ctrl+V: paste.
Screenshot tool: right-click page or press Ctrl+Shift+S.

Thank you for all your help. Problem resolved
Puzzling! After I went through various steps to attempt to make the version of 89 that I received workable, and gave up, planning to find a new browser, I return to find my screen now displays the old File, Edit, History, Bookmark, Tools, Help buttons across the top!
Check:
- you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
