Can anyone tell me why I have to reset my print settings so often? Almost every morning I have to reset them because e-mails or attachments I print come out HUGE. I have not changed the settings in the interim. While I now know how to correct the problem easily, it is frustrating to have to reprint pages, wasting time, paper and ink in the process.

Hi joyce26,

Have you looked at the Knowledge Base article Fix printing problems in Firefox ? There is some good troubleshooting information in there. I would suggest that you try resetting your print settings.

If that doesn't work you should look at the article How to fix preferences that won't save .

Hopefully this helps!

Thank you. I know how to fix the problem, I just don't know why it happens so frequently. The preferences seem to save for a while, but not for very long (a day or two).

Can you provide the steps to replicate the issue?

Not really, just sometimes when I print the output is quite large - each letter might be 1/4" high. Usually I am printing from an e-mail or an e-mail attachment when this happens. It happens without me adjusting print settings and the preview shows a normal document, so I have no way of knowing when it will happen until it does.

The way I have been fixing it is to go to Help>More Troubleshooting Information>Printing>Clear Saved Print Settings. This seems to work, but not permanently.
