Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What is/are the exact error message(s) ?

Are you trying to create a bookmark or a shortcut on the desktop?

Desktop: Open the link in the browser. Hold down the right mouse button on the address box icon, and slide it to the desktop. You can also slide it into a folder.

Bookmark: Click on the Bookmark icon or right-click on the page and press the star at the top.
