New PC- can not sign in to Thunderbird
New W10 pc. Have not been able to reestablish email account. Tried multiple times, with no success. Using a Verizon/AOL address and followed AOL POP and IMAP configs. I am still able to log in to acct via AOL website. New Dell came with trial of McAfee LiveSafe and read that may be cause. Expires today, so will 1st try again tomorrow. Meanwhile, any other suggestions are most appreciated.

You have to either use OAuth2 authentication or normal password authentication and an app password.
