I just got my new MacBook Pro running Monterey (12.0.1) and migrated everything over from my old, workhorse 2015 MBP running Mojave (10.14.6). And with the change, Thunderbird no longer accesses email addresses in my Mac's Contacts application.

The big difference appears to be in System Preferences/Security & Privacy/Contacts. In my old computer, Thunderbird appears in the window listing applications with access to the data in Contacts. In my new one, it is absent and I see no way to add it. Plenty of my old applications appear in that window (including one which cannot run in the new OS). I see no button to add the application to the Contacts access list. Is there some way to do it from within Thunderbird?

Thanks!

One possibility is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1720257 OSX Address book integration not working with OSX 11.4 big sur, works on OSX 10.14.6

TB currently has a problem working with Mac AB on newer versions of Mac. It is being looked out, but it is unclear when this will be resolved.

Thanks Wayne.

This is still an issue. Is there a way for me to track the progress on it? Can you (or anyone reading this) say what it's listed under in Bugzilla?

Thanks Wayne. This does look like it. And thank you for linking in my question about it. And I see one of the responders has a "fix". I'll give it a try later.

This is great!
