Prior to 91.5.0 I could create an email, paste text and print, then cancel the email. No more. It was a great fast way to print screenshot grabs from Firefox since Thunderbird is always open. Saving as draft doesn't work.

Now I have to send an email to myself to print it.

I just tried that with 91.5.0 and it worked for me. I had compose window open, pasted capture there and then printed it. Please retry this. I am using Windows 11.

It's not Thunderbird, it's Win10. The only computer in the office that now can do it is ver2004. All the others are 21h1 or 21h2. Too bad, it was a good thing while it lasted.

Using Windows 10 Version 21H1 TB 91.5.0 Works ok for me - did not need to save as draft, just PrtScr and then Ctrl+V in Write and then File > Print

I was wrong, it's not win 10. Two other computers with Win 21H2 and Thunderbird 91.5 work, but not mine. Both print to the same type of Brother printer. must be a gremlin.

Thanks anyway.

re :PrtScr and then Ctrl+V in Write and then File > Print

This should open the 'Print Preview' window. At this point you can choose the 'Destination' - a term which the Firefox team thought was clear enough to mean 'Choose Printer'. Then click on 'Print'.

At which point does it go wrong? When you use 'File' > 'Print' (or 'Ctrl+P') A) does the 'Print Preview' window fail to open ? Or B) does the 'Print Preview' window open but then you have a problem.... 1 ) You cannot select correct printer 2 ) when you click on 'Print' button nothing happens

OR C) have you got it set up to by-pass the Print Preview and go direct to Printer system dialog window?

OR D ) you have it set up to perform silent printing - meaning it does not show Print Preview not Printer system window - it goes direct to Printer?

re: Saving as draft doesn't work. Can you clarify what you meant by this. the email can be saved as draft but closing original Write window and reopening the draft to edit has same problem with print - makes no difference. or do you also have a problem saving the email as a draft?
