thunderbird email folders lose all or most of the emails stored when I leave them. I repaire the folder and the emails come back, but then disappear again as soon as I leave the folder I just fixed. How do I fix this for good?

My tech guy figured it out, had a good laugh cuz it was so simple. Turns out the quick filter function was on and showing unread emails only!
