Updated yesterday to the latest version of Supernova 115.2.3. It added two new Local Folders, both Bin and neither added by me. I deleted ... without additional issues that I am aware of.

How stable is this new release ... should I revert to pre 115?

That works if the profile isn't very big. My preferred approach is to exit TB (important step) and then to copy c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming\thunderbird to a USB stick or other folder. Then, should you need to restore it, just copy it back (again, with TB not running).

115 has been out a couple of months and regularly updated. It is the way forward. I encourage periodic backups of profile, but I do that regularly anyway. 115 has a new look, and takes some time to understand the features, but going back would be a deadend.

Fair comment, David.

I guess that this is how to save a Profile copy?

How to backup your profile with the Export tool Do ≡ > Tools > Export. Click on the Export button. In the Export to a ZIP file dialog, choose a target folder and file name, e.g. Thunderbird_profile_backup_2022-06-28. zip. Click Save.

Your way very easy ... thanks

Seems another easy solution for copy is: %appdata%/Thunderbird
