When streaming a video and using PiP, after opening another window or program and then pausing said video that is currently being played on the PiP player window, sometimes this causes the actual video itself being played via the PiP player window to freeze. So the video is paused and I want to resume play but when clicking the 'play' button on the PiP player window the video refuses to play.

The only way to clear this bug is to click the 'close' button or the 'back to tab' button on the PiP player window and then refresh the actual web page. After refreshing the web page and repeating the same steps - the PiP player window works just fine with playing and pausing, but it's annoying that I have to do this.

Turns out it was Firefox's autoplay that was breaking PiP on YouTube. I had it set to 'Block Video and Audio'. Am now using Enhancer for YouTube's built-in autoplay instead which seems to work far better.

Video links may expire or time out and require fetching a new one.

What site does this happen on? Are you sure it doesn't also happen when not using PiP?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

I'm using YouTube. It does happen sometimes even when I don't use PiP. The video will just stop playing which requires me to press play again or to refresh the web page. Maybe the video links expiring or timing out is the reason why PiP bugs out too. Thank you.

After some more testing I have found out that it's actually the uBlock Origin add-on that is breaking the PiP/Picture In Picture Bug mode when using YouTube.

When turning uBlock Origin off for the YouTube website the PiP/Picture In Picture Bug does not happen.

So it seems that whenever the uBlock Origin add-on is enabled for the YouTube website I am getting issues with the PiP/Picture In Picture mode.

Is there any filter or setting I could change within the uBlock Origin add-on that could help fix this PiP/Picture in Picture bug?
