Thunderbird vs. outlook.com - messages not coming through

Lately I've noticed that e-mails aren't always coming through in Thunderbird.

They aren't in the junk folder either; but when I log in to outlook webmail - I have an outlook.com address - I find that some (but not all) of the messages have come through, either into the inbox or junk folders.

Any suggestions?

If anybody else reads this, I *think* the problem was that I had previously set up the Outlook account as POP rather than IMAP. To fix it, you'll need to create a new IMAP account in Thunderbird. Will advise if it doesn't work.

Big thanks to "the community" for all their help.
