When I start Firefox, it comes up as a blank page. When I add a tab, both the original blank page and the new tab come up as Top Sites as well as all subsequent new tabs.

Maybe I didn't state the problem correctly. I don't want multiple tabs as a start page. I simply want my Top Sites as a start page. When I start Firefox I get one tab that is blank, as in white. There is no information at all on the page. What I want is one tab that is my Top Sites page. When I set Firefox to my Top Sites and select "use current page" in the preferences it says "about:blank" and that is what I get; a blank page. If I happen to add a tab, then the first tab becomes my Top Sites page as well as the second and subsequent tabs. This is defeating the purpose if I have to click to get my Top Sites.
