Windows XP Pro SP2, Firefox 3.6. When I try to download a file the file usually downloads; as the dl proceeds the mouse cursor over Firefox is an arrow. When the dl completes, the arrow turns to an hourglass and Firefox hangs completely. I cannnot close the program using task manager; I cannot stop the process; I have to reboot. I have tried all the remedies suggested: disable addons, manually remove downloads.sqlite, etc. to no avail.
