I have developed a website with password protected pages - but Firefox STILL allows access to the protected pages after I have logged out and even if I close and re-open Firefox? I have cleared the cache and checked 'Do not remember passwords' IE works OK??

Did you clear the cookies as well?

You can also try to clear the "Active logins" : Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox
