I've had no success installing Java on my Windows 7 machine. I have the latest version of Firefox and I'm trying to install the latest version of Java. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you already trying to download and install Java from the official website? Any other errors?

Kind regards, Joren

Thanks for the responses.

I got the download from the Java website, and tried to install the file but my system just hangs. There are no error messages or any indication why it's not working; nothing to go on at all.

Any ideas?

Hi,

A year ago I had the same problem. My antivirus blocked the Java-installer (or some important Java install files). So I suggest you to install Java without using a antivirus. For safety reasons, make sure you disconnect the internetcable from your computer or put off the Wifi-connection so you have absolutely no internet connection any more. After this, don't forget to start your antivirus program.

Kind regards, Joren
