In FF 3.6.8 how can I create (save) a bookmark directly to the last opened bookmark folder?

When saving multiple pages, it's time consuming to always have to navigate back to the same folder each time, whether bookmarking from the right-click menu, using the star in the location bar, or using Ctrl-D. In a past version, pressing Ctrl-D would open the bookmarks tree and take me to the last folder accessed. What setting or extension do I need to have that functionality again?

You can click the Choose... item in the Edit This Bookmark dialog (Ctrl+D) to select the last used folder.

Thanks; yes, I can Ctrl+D to open the Bookmark dialog, click on the Bookmarks menu dropdown, and select from the short-list. But how can I have Ctrl+D open to the last folder immediately, without the extra clicks and search?
