I have administrator rights to my own computer (Windows 7 64 bits), and have started Firefox as administrator, but it tells me that I have no administrator rights to update it! What to do?

Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version.
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
