I recently switched universities. When I try to access certain academic databases such as EBSCOhost or JSTOR, I get redirected to my old university's authentification page even though I've already been authenticated by the the new university. Any suggestions?

You can check the connection settings in Firefox > Preferences > Advanced : Network : Connection

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then reset the pref to the default value via the right-click context menu (Reset).

See "Firefox connection settings" in Server Not Found - Troubleshoot connection problems
