Following shut down of Firefox, when it is reopened the proxy server settings are changed from "No Proxy" to Manual Proxy Configuration and a HTTP proxy address is listed. Therefor every time I open Firefox I receive the message "The proxy server is refusing connection."

Changing the proxy setting back to "No Proxy" only lasts for that session. It is extremely frustrating and is turning me off Firefox as neither Chrome or IE have this continual problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on correcting this problem.

I am using Firefox V 3.6.15
