In Windows 7, Following Firefox instructions provided for importing Chrome Bookmarks into Firefox 4, when I get to "Import settings and data", select "From an HTML file", press "next", I get the 'option' to "save". When I "save", my Chrome Bookmarks HTML file does not appear in Firefox Bookmarks. Instead I get a msg, "file type not supported". Please advise. Thanks.

You need to export them from Chrome in HTML format. It sound like you exported them in a Google format which wouldn't be supported in Firefox.

See Import bookmarks and other data from Google Chrome which includes instructions on how to export them first.

Make sure the the HTML file has a .html file extension. You can verify that via the right-click context menu in the Properties of that file.
