I just a message saying it was from mozilla security. It did a quick scan and found infected files. It wanted to download a binary file as this site http://scan17.helmy.ce.ms . The only thing is that I personally immediately did a quick scan with Microsoft security essential which came back clear. Is this a valid site, or is it an affect to hack my pc? Thanks

Firefox is only a browser and do not scan your PC for anything. Just ignore it and do nothing, otherwise you'll be infected.
