I want my bookmarks to stay on the left sidebar. The new Firefox has a bookmark tab to pull down at the top of the screen on the right and I hate it. I don't want to pull down a list of my bookmarks. I want them to stay up ALL the time

My bookmarks sidebar opens when I (accidentally) press Ctrl+b.

You also can open and close the sidebar using

View > Sidebar > Bookmarks

If you are displaying the orange Firefox button rather than the classic menu bar, tap the Alt key to display the menus temporarily and then you can use the View menu.
