I updated to the newest version today, and now I can't open a new window either in the menu bar or with the command+N option. I also can't drag a current tab off and create a new window--it just disappears. Any ideas?

I tried shutting Firefox down and restarting twice. I also checked through the preferences to see if there was something in there. Nothing I've tried has helped. Nothing happens when I try and open a new window. The only way I've been able to is by clicking a link on another page that pops open a window. Tabs, however, are working fine.

In my recently updated Ffx v4.0.1 in Windows XP Pro SP3, when I put the mouse arrow-point in one of my tabs and right-clicked the mouse, Firefox offered me a list/menu with its third line saying, "Move to New Window." When I left-clicked the mouse on that item, it opened the new window, and it was set to the webpage that was formerly in the tab I had clicked on, and in that original window with tabs, it closed the old tab which was now opened in the new window. If neither this nor any of the other things will give you a new window, perhaps there is a bug in the OS X version of Ffx, but perhaps there is a glitch in your installation of Ffx and maybe uninstall and a new download + installation will cure it without reporting a bug. Hope this discussion of options will have helped.
