Why Firefox doesn't support alt symbols with long codes?
For example, I try to type symbol 'ґ' using Alt+1169. But instead of this I see char 'С' (cyryllic). Also I noticed that (e.g.) Alt+1 = Alt+257, Alt+2 = Alt+258, etc, i.e. cyclically. Opera has not such problem. Thanks.

Try to enable Num Lock to see if that helps.
Numlock switching doesn't help. Its state doesn't affect to alt symbols typing.
Did you try it?
If Num Lock is off then Alt + & is the same as Alt + Home and opens the home page. Other Alt keys also may have effect.
Yes. Alt+N (N<10) works with such result. But numlock state hasn't effect on bigger Ns. They still type ASCII table by number.
