One of my windows with 8 tabs or do is completely invisible

more options

Firefox 5.0/win7

I have a large number of tabs (maybe 100 or so) across 4 windows in my current session. After a session restore, one of my windows is completely invisible.

Win7 Aero preview shows that the window exists and has maybe 10 tabs in it. Selecting the window causes all other windows to go into a de-selected state but nothing appears to come into the foreground. Pressing ALT-SPACE causes the window's control menu to appear in the upper-left-hand corner of my screen. Attempts to "re-size" or "move" the window are fruitless.

If the window is "selected" and then another program tries to open a web site, that site is opened in the last-active ff window, and loads into the inaccessible window :(

When the invisible window is selected, I can perform keyboard-triggered tab management functions such as pressing CTRL-W to close a tab, etc.

Restarting ff and re-restoring the session does not appear to change things: the same window is still inaccessible (yet otherwise completely in-tact).

Did you try the System menu via Alt+Space?

If that window isn't working then you may need to close that window (maybe close all tabs first) and see if it works if you restore that window if you still need those tabs.

cor-el,

Yes, I tried Alt-Space + Minimize/Maximize/Restore/Move/Size and nothing worked. It was as if the window didn't really exist -- at least not visibly.

Since filing this issue (which plagued me for several months), the window is now visible. I suspect that my recent upgrade to ff 5 fixed it in some way. If others (2 currently reported) are having this issue, I suggest upgrading and seeing if your windows come back.
